Broadcaster Tele-Quebec signs Groupaction

Montreal: Public broadcaster Tele-Quebec has selected Groupaction/ JWT as its creative and media placement agency, edging out two short-listed agencies outgoing supplier Bleu Blanc Rouge and sjvy&r. The account is worth over $1 million. In its recently published triennial report, Tele-Quebec says it will double its "cultural programming" beginning in the fall '97 season. Unlike some of its provincial counterparts, the French-track educational network sells program sponsorships as well as limited commercial airtime, up to six minutes per hour. The network has an annual budget of $63 million, including a $53 million government appropriation. Quick Search
